The Breaking Point

I was really late to VHH today because I woke up late, but I still messaged someone and we talked for a bit before getting into VHH at 1 a.m. We watched a few videos from SNARLED and a lot of videos from Nexpo to pass the time. I was also playing Genshin in the background so I can level up. The videos from Nexpo were really disturbing, so we then pivoted to watching a few non-horror videos afterward like some from Edvasian and Domics about his passport problems. But after that, I told someone that I was going to sleep and we both left VHH.

In the morning, I woke up as usual and messaged someone but they took a while to reply, messaging me at 10 a.m. I went through my usual morning and afternoon work. Work was nothing extraordinary aside from the new server being slow as hell. I tried to invite someone for VHH during lunch, but they were slow to respond and only responded 30 minutes after I messaged them. They said they were just going to nap instead and I just continued through my break, I just ordered food from McDo since I had some money left and tomorrow was salary day. I talked to someone in the background while they had to do their interviews and other meetings. At the end of our shift, we both were free and someone invited me to play Sky with her. We mostly did a candle run and collected some winged lights that we had missed.

After playing Sky, we had to eat and someone got ramen from Botejyu as her dinner. I had to microwave the chicken McDo I had earlier and ate as well. I decided to stream a video from Nexpo about disturbing things he found online and then we watched a video from Skyjerald about the upcoming event and what it brings. We eventually left VHH at around 7:40 p.m. because someone said they were going to sleep but they were still messaging me at 8. I noticed that their laptop was still on and they weren't sleeping at all. I figured they were just talking to someone on Telegram. We got into a small fight about which headphones were better: the AirPods Max or my Sony WH1000XM5 recommendation, and someone sent a screenshot from their Mac about the price. I was watching episode 7 of the 5th season of The Boys at this time and this just did not sit well with me. It really just confirmed my suspicions and I just wanted none of it. I told them that I would not be accompanying them for VHH later during BFT and I'll see them tomorrow. They kept asking me why I was acting weird and told me that they would stop talking to me if I didn't say why I was feeling that way. I gave them a retort and told them off, and they eventually blocked me on Discord. A few minutes passed before deciding what to do and I just called them everywhere. They closed the apps that we had in common and essentially didn't pick up any of my calls. I tried to call them on Telegram but their line was busy, I suspected that they were calling someone else. I tried calling myself a few times and theirs showed a unique error message, which meant only 1 thing. I gave up and just watched The Boys and decided it was that.

Eventually, they messaged me on Viber asking if I was insane to have called them everywhere. I eventually told them of my suspicion and they confirmed it. They did say that they only called someone on Telegram after I wasn't talking to them, they also told me that they didn't care anymore after I didn't want to tell them my reason. I just felt my heart shatter and felt years of my life were just wasted on this person. I told them to just call someone on Telegram and said goodbye.

I felt hurt, I felt betrayed. I just feel like I wasted 2 years of my life. I had gone through one hell of a struggle for years and this was all I had to show for it: a girl who was just going to choose another guy. Despite the effort, the gifts, the dedication, the time spent, and the countless hours of memories shared, this was it. I just decided to sleep and close this chapter of my life.
