"In Love" and in the Mountains
Today was weird and sorta funny. I woke up early at around 6 a.m. to prepare for our excursion today to some places in Tanay, Rizal. I was wondering which outfit to pick, it was either the Squid Games Play 069 full-on cosplay I had, or the black running jacket and jogging pants my mom recently got me. I was cautious about choosing the Squid Game one because I honestly look kind of fat in it and I didn't want to fully wear it without losing some weight. But regardless, I wore it and chose that as my outfit.
My sister's boyfriend arrives to pick us up and my sister sits beside him in the passenger seat. We waited for a bit for my sister's boyfriend's dad (that was a hard one to put in English) to come pick up the wallet he left in the car and we eventually took off after that. The whole ride there, I was mostly playing songs from my Upbeat Mix on Spotify. We passed by some areas I know like Eastwood and we continued heading up north.
Eventually, we reach Rizal province and I stumble across an old song I like titled, "Love Grows (Where My Rosemary Goes)." It was such a cute song and I imagined myself being in love again. While I wasn't in love with anyone in particular, one girl came up and she was a friend I talk to every now and then. I just imagined how cute and fun being in love was and I imagined myself living life like I was in a musical with that song playing. It was such a beautiful feeling and I really asked myself to make the path I'm on lead to love like that in the future.
We stopped by a Shell to take some pictures and use the restroom and a few people noticed me because I was wearing a Squid Game outfit. We took a few pictures and continued on our way. I was still playing the same song while on the way there.
We reached Caza Peregrine Resort & Restaurant shortly afterward and there was absolutely no Internet there and no cell signal at all. We parked the car at a house nearby and went on a steep downhill path. We were only there to take a few pictures and a lot of people were absolutely looking at me. I could feel people looking at me because I wore an accurate Squid Game outfit. While I didn't mind the attention, I felt a bit fat in my outfit and it was a valid feeling because I was way thinner when I purchased this outfit. I should really lose a lot of weight this year. I did appreciate that a lot of people were noticing me, though.
After taking pictures, we eventually walked back up the hill and it was such a hell to go through. When we reached the top, I was extremely out of breath and my legs had hurt. I stood for a while and people around me were noticing my Squid Games outfit. A few people kept pointing and looking at me, which was kind of fun but also a little awkward. Some kids were impressed at my outfit, though, and they pointed at me, too.
Our next stop was a place nearby that offers an ATV ride through the forest. My Mom decided against it since it seemed sketchy and didn't have photos, also the trail seemed boring according to them. We eventually left but the lady in the shop was scared since she just saw the ending of Squid Games Season 2, which I found funny.
We then drove uphill to a location that my sister and her boyfriend had been to before and that it was a great location. It was Ridges and Clouds Nature Camp which had us go uphill and I slept while on the car ride there. We also passed by a famous spot for motorists to go downhill on. We eventually got there and a few people noticed my Squid Games outfit, one guy even said that there was already a "part 2" available, which made me laugh inside a bit.
There wasn't much to do but we ordered some food and took a few pictures. I also got salted caramel coffee and Bicol Express while the others ordered tocino, blueberry juice drinks, bulalo, and other things. We took a few photos of the Sierra Madre mountains nearby and we appreciate the view. Nothing much happened there aside from us finishing our food and taking more pictures of the area. My Mom sat at a swinging chair which seemed dangerous and she was so scared because I joked that I would push them on it. We took a few more pictures after that but eventually went home.
The trip home was nothing noteworthy. Some of us just rested and I looked outside the window while playing music on my Galaxy Buds. We eventually reached home safely and a few kids in my village looked at me because of my Squid Games outfit. We do a few chores and do some cleaning up, and the rest of the day passed just fine.
