It Has Been 5 Years and 8 Months

Today was a really heavy day. Today was the day I decided to submit my resignation from this company after 5 years and 8 months of continuous tenure. I think this is the perfect time to leave the company as I have spent 20% of my entire life here. I started when I was 20 years old and I'm now 25, I have seen trends come and go, and I've ushered in changes that affect the company at a critical infrastructure level. I have imparted a lot of my knowledge and skills here and I believe this is really the time to see where my career in DevOps takes me. After I submitted my resignation, my superior acknowledged it and understood where I was coming from. There was no resistance to me leaving and my other colleagues who had also been here for 5 years were shocked at me leaving, but they also wished me well.

Max and Meryll also caught up with me during my lunch break and Max asked me when I was resigning, and I funnily replied to Max that I had just resigned a few minutes ago, which was the truth. We all caught up and I share with them a bit about my next steps. After that, I went back to work and continued doing my daily tasks as usual. The day ended and my night was pretty chill, although there was this looming feeling that I had to step up and prove myself again this year, but it was all well and good.
