Album cover of I'LL LIKE YOU

Today was the day I would meet up with Nathan, his mom, and Ane for dinner later at Chili's. Nothing much went on for most of the day, it was mostly just me catching up with mood calendar entries, testing out the new keyboard, updating some code and whatnot. It was pretty chill for most of the day.

Around the late afternoon or so, I booked a ride to Chili's in One Bonifacio High Street and met up with Nate and his mom there. They already got nachos and I saw Nate wait for me by the escalator before we also came across Ane and us 3 went into the restaurant. The table was fairly short for my taste but we ordered food. The thing was, we actually ordered a lot of food. This was a concern not because of the price, but because the table was already full of food by the time they had served us everything. Still, the food was nice and I mostly caught up with Nate, his mom, and Ane about how my life was doing. They gave me advice out of concern, and boy did Nate and his mom sounded really concerned about me, but I assured them that I'm on the right track and I can save up some funds efficiently in the coming months. We also caught up with Ane and how her thesis is coming along. It was a shock because it was such an expensive thesis to make.

We kept eating until we eventually were full after finishing a few dishes. It was nice to actually eat here because I've only heard about Chili's in American media, notably Hall Pass (2011). I tried out their chili rice and I knew it would be trouble for me because it was spicy, but I just didn't care and ate it anyway along with some spicy buffalo chicken. We had dessert and we took out some of the leftovers for ourselves. When, the bill came, it wasn't that surprising since it was thankfully around 6K and I had estimated the budget to be 5-7K for this evening, so we weren't far off.

Afterwards, we walked outside for a bit and, apparently, an event was going on. It was BGC Coffee Fest and I was surprised but also sad because I can't drink coffee this late in the evening. It was already 9 p.m. or so by the time we went out so I was disappointed to not drink any coffee. We looked around the stalls and I expected to see some K-Pop booth there so I could buy another ILLIT album, but apparently there were none. I was also on the lookout for any of my friends here because I saw some of my friends post their IG Stories earlier about attending this event. I was hoping I'd “bump into” (see them for a mile away and “accidentally” bump into them) but I didn't see anyone that I know. I kept my eyes peeled the whole time and I was scanning hundreds of faces during our walk but I didn't recognize anyone. By the end, I just made the decision to order some strawberry matcha and this honey oat coffee, which Ane made fun of me for because she thinks matcha is for goats. Nate's mom also ordered something and stood in line with me.

We got our drinks and we all had to go home. I showed them the Kuube bench, hoping to play some songs over Bluetooth, but it was already around 10:10 p.m. by then and the thing shuts down at exactly 10:00 p.m., which was a bummer. We all went our separate ways and I got some safe. I couldn't drink the honey oat coffee and I couldn't sleep easily, so I stayed up for the rest of the night.
