Dev Meetup!

Today was a pretty simple, but fun, day. My only major activity today was to meet the other people of Dicey Memes, Beni and Nicole. I woke up a bit later than usual and I really wanted to get a few hours of sleep. I got ready at around 11 a.m., which was around our supposed meetup time, and took a while took book a ride. The funny/not-so-funny thing was, I had set my stop AT A WRONG PLACE. We were supposed to meet up at Gino's Brick Oven Pizza at Salcedo Village and I somehow got dropped off at Gino's in Rada Street, which was a long walk from Salcedo Village. I just took the L and walked there since it was my fault anyway.

When I got there, they had already finished eating but they saved a slice of pizza for me, which was nice. We all talked for a bit before leaving. We tried to check out Odd Cafe, which was my suggestion since it was nearby, but we never got to order coffee there because all of the seats were taken. We instead went to Commune Café in Poblacion. We got a Grab ride there and I actually fell while entering the car and hit my head on the knee/leg of someone there, which was funny because all the devs saw me trip up and fell, even the driver saw it. We then get to Commune and we talk while on the way there.

We were at Commune for a while. I saw some of the cats they take care of there and one even had an AirTag, so it's nice to see that they're taking good care of them. After that, we kept talking amongst ourselves about work, programming, and a bunch of other topics. We had to leave eventually and, since some of us had other things to do, we all went our separate ways. I accompanied Nicole since she wanted a mojito and a margarita before going home. So we went to Filling Station since it's been a while since I've been there. It was Nicole's first time there, so it was a surprise for her. But it was just a 50s-themed American diner.

I took a few pictures and ordered a burger, as well as a mojito for Nicole, and a lasagna for us to eat since it was for sharing anyway. We talked about life, where we were planning in the future, and a few other things. We then booked a ride home and took a Grab ride since it was cheaper. I got dropped off and chilled for the rest of the evening. It was nice to see the devs of Dice again and to walk around, although I wish we spent more time. But that's okay, there's always next time.
