Mon
K-Day!
Monday started off like a boring, usual day. I did get a nice letter on Slowly, so that started off well. I also made a plan to exercise today, so I looked forward to doing it today. I got started with work and things were progressing well, as things usually were. On my break, I tried to see if I can stream some Philippine TV because I was bored and had nothing better to do anyway. But then it hit me: if I can stream Philippine TV, that means I can stream other countries' TV! So I searched online to find a website that streams real TV from Korea, I reactivated my Daum/Kakao account, and I streamed some Korean TV!
I couldn't believe it, but I accidentally stumbled upon a show on JBTC that had SEVENTEEN! Seriously, SEVENTEEN! I saw Hoshi and Woozi on this cooking show and I immediately had to post an IG Story about it and let Cheska know. I also talked to Max about it and she responds, and we have a short exchange about what the show was and then SVT in general. I just keep watching it in the background while I do my work and it was seriously cool. I saw some Korean ads as well and I just had a bright idea, why don I try to do another Korean Snackathon thing again? I thought about it for a while, but eventually ordered some Korean snacks as well. I waited for my order to arrive, which took a while and I was mostly scared because the ice cream might melt, but it eventually arrived and the Samanco green tea fish ice cream snack was the first one I tried. It was good, I can admit that I appreciate the taste now that my palate is more familiar with matcha. I ate it while watching some Korean ads and I had to switch to another channel for ads. I then ate the snowy almond Pepero one, which was good as well, although some of the nuts got stuck in my teeth, which wasn't a pleasant experience.
The afternoon went on as I just did my work. I got bored so I ended up cooking that cup of Buldak cheese and it was really, really good. The thing was, I expected it to be hot so I already came prepared with milk from the fridge AND IT WAS HOT. It was just the cup noodle version, but damn, it was hotter than I expected and I felt like dying from it. I was still able to finish the cup noodles, though, and it was really nice to have Buldak once again. I eventually finished my work and just had the rest of the day free. I was then able to check Seventeen's album release and I saw a few IG Stories from my friends about it. I also got to talk to Cheska about the show I watched earlier, which was nice.
In the late evening, the artist that I commissioned talked to me and they had an update regarding the artwork. It looked super detailed compared from when they sent their first few sketches, and they told me that they also took a look at my site and found out that I write. I asked them about their college experience and we had a really interesting conversation after that. I learned so much about them, which was kind of endearing since I haven't heard a new person open up to me this much in a long time. I've also been feeling a little lonely lately, with me not having to talk to anyone on my wavelength for a while now, and it feels nice to talk to a person that gets me. We kept talking, even extending up until 2 a.m. the following day. Which kind of was a new record and an exception, considering what I posted yesterday. But I just loved talking to them. This day was super fun and talking to a new person who's on my same wavelength was what wrapped it well.
