Baguettes with Special Guests

I felt really anxious about how today would turn out. I know the reason, but something inside me just felt like things weren't going to end well today. But I'm glad Ane did a reading on me yesterday and told me that things would be all right. Eventually, after tiring myself out, I eventually slept.

The morning was super interesting.

But first, of course, I had some breakfast. It wasn't much and I was pretty much set to leave for the morning since us Baguettes agreed to meet at 10 a.m. I booked a ride and hurriedly left the house and that's when I noticed something. I was missing my wallet! I was fiddling in the motorcycle ride but I just know for sure that I left it at home. I asked my sister to pack it up along with some paper trash that I can just throw away. I also had to ask her to put my small bottle of Listerine mouth wash in there for good measure. After preparing a literal bag of trash with only my wallet and mouthwash in it as valuables, I had the bag shipped from my house to SM Megamall while I was on the ride there. Obviously, I got to SM Megamall first and I just waited around, had matcha at Starbucks, and kept waiting for my wallet and stuff to arrive. Eventually, the driver arrived and at the right spot, too! I'm able to get my wallet and mouthwash, and I breathed a large sigh of relief.

I went on to meet Meryll at Watsons and I couldn't find her, and Max was here already but I didn't see either of them until I turned the corner and found them together already. We walked around for a bit and then decided here to have lunch. While walking, I told them that there was a food convention upstairs and that I would be meeting a friend there, but they were open to checking it out as well after lunch. Meryll suggested Bad Bird and I was okay with it, and so was Max. We immediately got a table and we just talked about life, career and the general things we were up to while eating. I also revealed to them that I would be meeting up with a new friend I had met online and I gave a short introduction about my friend and what they does. I told them about her and a short summary of how things have been between us.

After eating, we took a quick break before going upstairs and checking out the food convention itself. It was packed with people. We tried out a few free samples given out and Max was really interested in this bottle of mead, which kind of had a hint of cinnamon for me. She bought it and got a tote bag. We kept walking and we tried this cocoa booth which us 3 got samples of, and I bought Max and Meryll packs each. We also take a pic by a sari-sari store and I ask a female guard to take a photo of us 3. By this time, I messaged my friend that we were here already and they went to meet me (us) at the entrance. They immediately recognized me and I immediately recognized them. We immediately talked to each other and they showed us the book that was on display. We asked the person manning the counter about the details of how to get the book, and we essentially had to listen to the book's author finish their whole talk.

Afterward, we asked my friend to tag along with us while we explore the rest of the exhibit. They were really nice and kind enough to introduce us to their parents, which were also super nice. I had a lot of stuff written about them but I'll just keep it hidden on my private copy.

We exit the convention center for now and we walk around the mall. Max has things to do so we had to wait for her a bit but we continued on and went downstairs to the bowling alley place, and we also pass by a Genshin artbook that Max and Meryll take interest in. We don't linger for long as we head into the bowling alley and try to get a lane. Meryll's going to sit this activity out so it's just Max and I, but the waiting time for an available lane is 30-40 minutes, which seems risky because we had to go to back to the convention center soon. We then check out the wait time for a KTV and ping pong table, both of which were 30 minutes to 1 hour away from an available table. So we just pass on it since we're scrapped for time. We try Arrowland and the waiting time was the same, around 20-30 minutes and we'd play for 20-30 minutes, which would put us at a hard position. We walk for a while and Max's tote bag breaks. It absolutely breaks the bottle of mead and it spills out on the floor. I reach out to a janitor that was thankfully wheeling around a cart as well, so thankfully he was able to help us dispose of the leaking mead bottle. Max also suffered a super small cut because she got in contact with a shard of glass, but thankfully the cut wasn't that deep. I just promise Max that I'll buy her another bottle for the trouble.

Since we were already exhausted, we just find a table chill on for a while. My friend messages me about a few things and that the event is starting, and that they were also handing out claim stubs for the cookbook. I tell Max and Meryll this and we had to head back to the convention floor. My friend and their parents let us sit next to them, which was really nice and we eventually got cookbooks.

My friend and their family eventually come back to the table and we talk for a while, and eventually Max and Meryll return with their copies. We talk for a bit more before deciding to wrap up our stay at the convention. Thankfully, I managed to ask them if they could take a pic with us and I ask the same guard earlier to take a picture of us 4. We then walk around trying to find the cinemas and I ask the guard for directions. I also ask where the groceries were so Max can buy a stronger tote bag from there. We decided that it was best for us to split up. I just wait in line to buy tickets for 3 of us since I'm the one paying.

Regardless, I made it up to the front desk after a long line and I got the three tickets. I waited by Meryll and asked where Max was, because I thought that the two of them would be going together. Eventually, Max returned with her new tote bag which was Japan-themed. Then we watched Lilo and Stitch and I enjoyed the movie enough. I didn't expect to watch this today, but I'm glad I did.

After that, we were mostly focused on getting home so Max and I booked via ride-hailing apps. We both quickly got a ride and our drivers kind of arrived at relatively the same time, so that was nice. I got home and just rested for the evening after that.
