Back at My Favorite Place!
My Saturday was totally free and I didn't plan on meeting with any of my friends this weekend, so I decided that today would be the day I "broke the MacBook in" and enjoyed using it at a Starbucks. While I still didn't like the black color of the Mac that much, I just decided that it's fine. I booked a ride to Starbucks and thankfully the weather was kind of good when I commuted there.
I got there and I got coffee as my drink, which was kind of weird because I'm really not into coffee that much these days. But since it's my usual drink when hanging out at Starbucks, I just decided to go for it. I got my drink and went upstairs to find a seat and I thankfully found a seat, a sofa seat with a table. It was the perfect spot and I took some photos of me working on my website with my new MacBook. I took some photos of it and I liked the black color, which made me think that getting the black one wasn't that bad at all. There are some smudges here and there, smudges that definitely wouldn't show up if I got the silver one, but it is what it is. I took a photo of my MacBook because it still looks beautiful. I coded on it for a while, mostly figuring out some Material 3 Expressive shapes and adding them to my site, and then working on that new DynamicScheme color theming system. Both features took a while to figure out and I passed the whole afternoon and early evening on both.
Throughout my stay, I was a bit apprehensive about leaving my MacBook alone. Sure, it's not a flashy device and it honestly looks like any black Windows laptop, but I didn't want this stolen, so I brought it with me when going to get water or going to the bathroom. I just left my Cinnamoroll umbrella on the desk I occupied so that no one takes my seat. I also played some of my old favorite sogns from Claire Rosinkranz while coding.
After all that coding, I was able to make some progress on my future site redesign, which was nice. Also, nothing really bad happened, thankfully. I eventually left and found out that it was a bit stormy, with some light rain. I left to go grab dinner somewhere and I didn't really plan on anything, so I walked around for a bit. I stopped by The Loop on Bonifacio High Street because I wanted to buy a USB dongle for my MacBook, and I was kind of disappointed to get one that cost 2,600 Pesos and didn't even have an ethernet plug, which sucks. I walked around a bit more, and even thought of eating at Mendokoro, but that's near Mitsukoshi mall, which isn't feasible to walk to in the light rain, so I settled for Ramen Nagi and ate there for a bit. The food was nice, although I really don't remember tasting much of it, for some reason. Regardless, I finish my food enough and booked a ride home. It rained a bit, but thankfully the MacBook wasn't affected.
I went home safe and just chilled for the rest of the evening. I used this time to watch the entirety of Squid Game Season 3 and it was a pretty fun and thrilling watch.
