All Health Checks Cleared!
I had plans today to visit the dentist to have my teeth get checked up. I also found a dentist that accepted my HMO and I had my teeth cleaned for free, which was super nice. I had to pay 1,000 out of my pocket because my teeth had some dirt that somehow wasn't covered by the HMO. But whatever, it was fine and I still got my teeth cleaned. It was super painful, by the way. It honestly felt like my teeth were being "downloaded" because the entire operation sounded like some downloading operation. It was super painful but I'm glad I got through it.
The dentist also checked my teeth and it was just your usual, run-of-the-mill gingivitis. Thankfully, it wasn't some health problem because I had a lowered immune system from HIV. I breathed a large sigh of relief when the fix was just some over-the-counter drug named Orahex.
My next stop was this public health clinic in Taguig because they offered free HIV tests. But when I got there, it was closed. I went to another clinic that had it and they said that it was only available for pregnant ladies. I went to Vista Mall to buy Orahex and I decided to find another clinic. The weather was kind of rainy, but I was already outside, so I didn't want to waste my efforts and decided to get an HIV test, even if I'll have to pay for it myself.
I found a clinic in Makati and it was thankfully close to Ayala Avenue. I paid for my HIV test and admitted my sexual history to the doctor and then I got the test itself done. Thankfully, it's the latest version of the test and it was only a quick 10-minute finger prick. I waited for what felt like eternity and, by my sheer fucking luck, it turned out negative. Negative. A negative fucking HIV test. It's good that I got a test around the proper time, too, so that was nice. But wow, I just felt so light after taking that test and having a negative result. I then walked to the Starbucks downstairs and had a cookie and some matcha, which was really nice. I talked to my Mom about it and she scolded me, but ultimately understood and was kind of glad (I think) of my negative result.
I walked through the Dela Rosa Walkway and got a footlong sandwich from the Subway we used to visit back when we were working in Makati in 2020. I kept walking and passed by Greenbelt Chapel and decided to go there to thank God for all that they've done for me recently: from the wishes being granted, my HIV result being negative, and things being generally okay. Somehow, while praying, a mass had started and I enjoyed the entirety of it and then booked a ride home. I just ate the Subway sandwich and chilled for the rest of the evening.
