I Climbed with Someone AND Bing Bong to the Peak!!!1!!

I had a discussion with someone yesterday about accompanying them the whole night today. It started with me on the bed with my MacBook typing and chatting with someone on Discord while glancing at some Korean TV channel playing in the background. Someone was still busy with her work in a meeting so we didn't call much at first. Then she asks if we're going to play Peak and I tell her that she's the one who's being monitored. She eventually turns on her PC and I get on my PC as well so we can play.

Since it was a new seed, we didn't really know how to get through today's world seed but we just braved through it anyway. Of course, we're bringing Bing Bong with us and I took a few screenshots of someone holding Bing Bong at the start. The shore/beach part looked easy enough and we were able to navigate ourselves through it. The jungle/tropics part was the one that seemed really challenging. I couldn't figure out the right way and I couldn't see a proper way that easily led to the top. We just went for the middle and kept climbing up.

It proved difficult but we were getting by fine. Someone says that I should go "to the left" and I told them that the phrase was actually from Beyonce's song "Irreplaceable" which I had just found out this year. I sing a few lines and she does sing it as well, and she ends up playing the entire song and singing it while we were playing. We got through a wall by having someone come through first and I tossed her bag across the gap once she got to the other side. I was next and it was a bit difficult for me, but I got through it. We struggled finding a path but I used a chain launcher to get us from one side to another. Then we kept climbing up and that's where I had trouble. Someone was able to successfully climb first, but I fell multiple times and kept getting injured. Eventually, I died and lost all of the stuff I was carrying, which was a shame.

But someone was able to resurrect me once she got to the peak of the tropics/jungle. We got through the alpine section and we tried looking for the capybaras at the start, but we couldn't find them at all. We tried looking but eventually gave up when we didn't see any smoke. Someone sadly had to give up her chance at a gourmand badge for this run. It was difficult, but we somehow got through it after I placed a rope launcher near the top and we were able to climb up just fine.

For the caldera section, it was a little brutal but we got through it after tanking a few burns. It wasn't long before we passed that part, too, and got to the final stage: the kiln.

Some bullshit always happens here. I just had the feeling that this place was cursed. Either someone dies or some major inconvenience causes us to stop or have problems. Last time, someone and I had a good run but then she got caught in a meeting and had to die by falling, and she brought Bing Bong down with her. This time, she was in a meeting again. It sucked a lot because she was held up for quite a while at the start, she almost slipped and fell, too. I was so frustrated and annoyed because this place truly was cursed.

But somehow, we kept climbing together. We used up all of the tools in our arsenal. I chose the wrong path and had to use the chain launcher for us to get to another side at the start of the kiln. Someone pointed out that it was the wrong path. And then, after climbing up, I used a piton stuck to the wall so we could climb up further. Then, finally, an anti-rope spool to climb up a wall to some rocks. I was so scared because we were so close to the peak. Finally, we had this difficult part where we had to climb up some rocks. I almost fell at this area because I was running out of stamina and didn't see a way up, but I was able to make it somehow.

Lastly, it was someone's turn and she climbed the correct path and I was able to grab her as we climbed the few easy steps to the peak.

I almost cried at this stage. We had reached the top of the volcano and exited the kiln 😭 This run was so legendary. Someone didn't die nor pass out and it was actually me who died. This was a flawless run for her and the first time she got through ALL the stages, and ON OUR FIRST RUN.

AND WE BROUGHT BING BONG TO THE PEAK WITH US!

I immediately started signing that God Is and Defying Gravity mashup we hear on social media about the game. We finally got Bing Bong to the top and both of us survived this run. It's so unbelievable. This was our first run at this seed, no do-overs, just a blind run to the top. I seriously am glad we got to finish this game and someone got a few achievements, mainly the "survivalist" achievement and the achievement for carrying Bing Bong to the end! She finally got it and I'm so happy for her!

After such a legendary run, I just knew I was the one treating her and so I did. I ordered some food for myself, I mainly had that new Fantastic Four meal from Burger King and I wanted that affogato as well. I also had KFC since it had free delivery. For someone, I got her a lauriat from Chowking and I got her Starbucks as well so she could keep staying up for her work. It's funny that we got through all that and got food while she was in a meeting.

We went back in Peak to test out the new cannibalism feature and she made a mistake when my character turned into a big turkey. She was so embarrassed but she was fine after she got her food and we were eating. We watched a video from Edvasian while eating and I actually liked my food, it was pretty "fantastic." Someone and I watched other videos after that, mainly ghost stories from one of our favorite YouTubers, Megan.

After that, she was mostly busy with work but we were still on call. I played some Tetris while waiting and then played SSX Tricky like before. She mostly just watched and saw me playing that game while her work was going on. I often picked this character, Mac, while playing and she said that her brother used to pick him as well. I kept on playing that game as she was doing her work and was in her meeting.

She eventually ends her work and we play around in Sky to do some dailies, see some baby manta, and explore some areas. It was fun and we eventually leave the call afterwards.

I was really, really tired at the end of it but I had so much fun. It was the good kind of tired and it definitely was the highlight of my weekend. I mostly slept on-and-off for the rest of the day.

In the evening, my sister was missing and I thought she would be there, but she was somewhere else. She asks me what I want for dinner and I suggest Andoks. She eventually arrives home and I see that she dyed her hair brown. My sister also brings the dinner I requested, which was nice of her. It was a surprise and she was wondering if it looked good or not. It looked okay to me but I wasn't used to seeing my sister have a different hair color than black. Even she seemed to regret it a bit but I tell her that she looks fine. Eventually, she calls her boyfriend and plays games with him for the rest of the day.

I didn't really do much after that but I just browsed social media and got some well-needed rest and relaxation for myself.
