Dear Dartegnian Velarde,

Today was finally the day! The day I'd watch Dear Evan Hansen with Belle in Solaire! I spent most of the morning on the last leg of my night shift and I was talking to someone on Discord. I thought that we would get into a call or something, but she seemed too interested in some DotA tournament and I honestly think she's just watching it with some other guy. It felt kind of weird for me to get this feeling again and I just lost interest in talking to them. I just ordered food for myself and ate because I skipped dinner last night. I just ate my food alone and slept while someone kept trying to talk to me and even tried to invite me for a Tetris battle, but I declined.

When I woke up, I think I had enough sleep. I checked my sleep measurements and it says that I got 6 hours of sleep, so that was nice. It was just afternoon so I spent some time in the house just reheating the food from last night, watching a YouTube video, and eating. I took a while I honestly don't know how time passed so quickly because it was already around 1:40 p.m. or so. It takes me around 40 minutes to get there and the show starts at 3:00 p.m., so I was already cutting it close. I booked on so many apps and I booked as much and as often as I can, hoping for a rider that will accept. I eventually got one and it did take a while for me to get to Solaire, and I got wet on the ride there because it suddenly rained a few meters away from Solaire, but I was glad that I got there already.

I went upstairs to The Theatre and I looked around for Belle and she tells me she's sitting on some sofa. I eventually see her again and I get a bit nervous again, for some reason. I'm only ever like this with Belle and never with my other women friends, but I just push through it and greet her. I then ask how long she has been here and I then get up to ask around if we can already go in. The usher told me that we could go in and I pick up Belle so we could go in. We got seated and the theater absolutely reminded me of the Samsung Theater in Makati, aand it was nice that I got seats so close to the edge and I got us balcony seats.

The show eventually starts and I immediately remember that I really love musicals. The voices played from the speaker and I was absolutely amazed at how some of the props on staged moved on their own. It was so crazy because I couldn't get over it the minute I noticed it. I was also immensed in the story. Even though I am a big fan of musicals, I somehow missed watching Dear Evan Hansen. The plot was nice but it was really interesting and also unsettling that it was all built on top of Evan being a grifter, which shocked me. I cringed and squirmed in my seat when he admitted to Connor's parents that he had been lying all this time.

During the intermission, Belle and I went out of our seats and I bought her a tote bag and tried to print out our tickets. I asked if I could and it was only 50 Pesos, surprisingly, but I wasn't able to print them out because our tickets had already been scanned, which doesn't make a lick of sense. I wanted them printed out as a souvenir and our tickets were absolutely valid, but the cashier didn't want to print them out. Belle caught me while waiting and it was kind of disappointing to go back to our seats without our printed tickets. Oh well, we just went back and continued watching the show.

The rest of the show was really nice, the story concluded and we went out to take a few pictures. We walked around Solaire for a bit talking about Belle's upcoming trips and stuff. We had to pass by the casino area. The extreme smell of cigarettes made me gag and even retch. I really am not used to cigarette smoke and I can't even recall the last time I smelled it, but we eventually got through the casino and Belle got a ride to her bus terminal. I just went home instead of lounging around here, because there isn't much to do and everything else will burn a hole in my wallet. When I got home, I planned to go to Starbucks on 32nd Street in BGC but I didn't push through it and I just browsed the Internet and slept.

Today was pretty great, even though I was extremely awkward and stuff around Belle. But it was nice that everything went well today and it was nice to have watched a musical I've been planning to watch for such a long time.

Sincerely, your best and most dearest friend:
Me
