1 Gbps Internet! Finally!

Sunday had me playing R.E.P.O. with someone and Luan in the morning and I also called someone in the morning. We mostly talked about this toy car that she has which was pretty cool. We played a few rounds before I had to stop our game so I could prioritize getting my new fiber Internet line installed. The technicians arrived at 10 a.m. or so in the morning and they took a while fully setting up my Internet. They told me that it was a challenging task because my fiber line was already too long from a connection box and that the ones nearby were already full.

The installation took so long, several hours in fact. It even rained and there was a part where I thought that they would just give up on installing it, but they pushed through. The first installation didn’t work so they had to re-lay the cable again and they took a good hour or so which felt like forever. But they eventually made it work on the second re-laying and they were able to confirm network access through the fiber cable. I was super glad and relieved to have Internet again, and it was at 1 Gbps as well! It was the fastest our Internet connection had ever been, from 30 mbps during our copper cable days to 1 Gbps. I’m personally glad and I celebrated by updating a lot of my devices. Too bad I wasn’t able to play with someone and Luan for today, but it was fine. I’m just happy I have a working Internet connection again.
