Dear Ella Hansen

Today was the day! Today would be the day I watched Dear Evan Hansen with someone! I was super stoked to watch this live again and I’ll finally watch it with someone. I didn’t really do much today aside from take the day off so I could rest and feel way better and I woke up at around 2 p.m. or so. I also played Outlast Trials with someone and Luan. It was raining a bit which made me worry but I just didn’t care and eventually it was around 4 p.m. when someone asked me if I was leaving yet. We had kind of a misunderstanding and I got confused for a while but it was fine and I booked a ride from my place to theirs so I could pick her up and we could go to Mendokoro together.

The commute to her house took a while and the driver said that traffic wasn’t bad, but it eventually got bad because he took the wrong route to her house and we spent and hour or so driving. We eventually got near someone’s house and we picked her up. The commute from there to Mendokoro near SMX was kind of faster, but the driver took so long and had to refill on the way. He actually cut in line for gas, which was weird and someone noticed that. I could tell that the driver was kind of frustrated but we didn’t care and someone and I just kept talking about a bunch of other topics while on the way there.

After a while, we thankfully got to Mendokoro just fine and thankfully there wasn’t such a huge wait in line for food. We eventually got our orders and they were quite quick serving it, which was needed because we were running out of time. I was so conscious of the time that I wasn’t able to finish my food, but whatever. We both finished our food enough and I was thankfully able to get a ride to Solaire quickly and the driver was just nearby. It wasn’t long before we got to Solaire and we passed by the casino and joked about playing there. We eventually got to The Theatre and we got our printed tickets. I bought a tote bag for her which costed a lot, like 2,000 Pesos and it was at a different price from when I bought it last time. We wait in line and took a few photos before going down. The lady there told us that our September 26 tickets weren’t valid for today, October 2, and we had to go back to the front desk to have our tickets re-printed, which was such bullshit because I already told the guy at the counter that I had our tickets rescheduled. But whatever, we went back to the counter and it was such a time crunch because some people took a while to wait in line and our reschedule took a while to process. I also noticed one guy trying to sell their tickets because their companion couldn’t make it. Eventually, we got our properly-dated tickets and we rushed to our designated entrance. The musical had already started and someone and I awkwardly waited before we could be let in and we missed the first song. We had to watch through a super low-quality live video feed which was just ass.

But we eventually got ushered inside and we got seated. I noticed that Zoe’s actress was different tonight, which was strange because she was Alana in my last watching. Someone joked that Zoe’s mom had some explaining to do because she was so different, but it was fun seeing Jared’s actor be the same person, so that was funny.

We just watched and it was nice listening to the songs again and seeing people perform live. Someone was mostly focused on watching and we didn’t talk to each other much like we usually would in our calls. Someone definitely loved the performance and we just waited in our seats during the intermission. The second half of the show eventually started and there were a few moments where someone had shed tears, which was nice to hear because she seemed super moved by the songs. The show eventually ended and we took a few photos and joined in on the people giving a standing ovation. We left and we brought a program before leaving and I gave it to someone as a further souvenir. We booked a Grab ride home and we took a super weird route to someone’s house. We mostly talked about the performance and someone thinks she could be a better Zoe, which I’m sure she definitely would. We eventually got to her house and I bid her farewell. The ride to my house had a bit of rain which kind of reflected my mood because, idk, I was a bit sad that I watched Dear Evan Hansen with 2 people and I think watching it with someone I’m in a relationship with would be better. But whatever, I got home, talked to someone for a bit, and then slept after scrolling for a while.

I posted a few IG Stories of my day with someone and I got a few messages, mainly from Rachel because she was surprised to see someone back in my life. Truthfully, even I was shocked because I would have never believed that she would come back in my life and that we would watch Dear Evan Hansen together, so that was nice and I noted that in my IG Story.
