For Good
Sunday had me still staying at Starbucks 32nd Street, and what I didn’t expect that it was still open even past 3 a.m.! It was a total shocker because I remember the last time I stayed up late here, we were asked to go home as the store was closing. For some reason, it would continue operations until the next day. It was a total shocker to me, but a welcome one because I really just wanted to complete my mood calendar entries and catch up on a month’s amount of journal entries.
By the end, I am glad to have managed to catch up and I published the entire collection of the entries since I last published them. I also got to do some productive housekeeping with regards to my site, too, so that was nice. By the end, I wondered if I should eat Army Navy since it was also 24 hours, but I figured that I shouldn’t eat large meals before sleeping, and it was already 5 a.m., so instead I just booked a ride home and went straight to bed. Coming home at 5 a.m. there was a very unique experience, though, and I enjoyed it.
For the rest of the day, I mostly just slept and chilled through the afternoon. We got ready at 5 p.m. or so because I thought that our film would start at 6:30 p.m. We weren’t able to book motorcycles to Venice Grand Canal and we didn’t really make the 6:30 cut-off. That’s when I realized that the show actually started at 5:30 p.m., not 6:30 p.m. Big fucking mistake. So instead of just rushing there, I just enjoyed my cab ride there and booked us tickets for the next screening at 8:30 p.m. I had enough time to go to the barber as well and get my haircut, which has been long overdue because my hair is getting hot and irritating. I still felt sad that my hair was balding, but whatever, I’ll probably just get a transplant soon so I could have a full head of hair again.
After getting my haircut, I tip the barber and then pay for it, and then eat with my sister after at Pepper Lunch. After eating, we watched the movie and I’m glad that our seats were still well-positioned, even though we were off to the right side. It felt nice to just recline and watch Wicked: For Good (2025). The movie was nice, and I could see that my sister cried at some parts of the film. But I’m more surprised at how this movie tied in to the whole Wizard of Oz and even had Dorothy in some parts. So that was cool. After the movie, we went to a nearby Starbucks and thankfully it was still open, otherwise we would have had to book a ride to Starbucks 32nd Street, and then go home from there, but thankfully the one in Venice Grand Canal Mall was open and we had 30 minutes until it closes at 11:30 p.m. We had a little hiccup trying to order because their system was kinda slow and broken, but I’m glad I got to order and claim my 2026 Starbucks Traditions reward. I got the 24oz cup, which was pretty neat, since this is the 3rd year in a row that I’ve collected the cup. After that, we talked for a while and I promised my sister that I’d get her the entire Wizard of Oz book series. We eventually booked a ride home and I just relaxed and helped my sister buy the entire book series. All in all, it was a really fun day.
