27.1°C Rainy

I had just recently learned that Monday would be a holiday for the Philippines and I was honestly surprised, but I was also glad because I could really, really need the day off. And I honestly did, in a way.

But I started the morning off just staying up, browsing IG Reels and, when I finally decided to sleep, I heard some super-weird sounds around my room. These were super strange sounds like paper moving or a bottle moving. At first I thought they were mice moving around my room, but the sounds were kind of loud enough for them to not be mice. It was also strange since I haven't seen any traces of mice in a long, long time. So I was honestly surprised and even spooked out a little. I even thought that I was going through a schizophrenic episode or that this was early onset schizophrenia, but I just attributed the noise to mice. I eventually passed out.

In the morning, nothing much happened and I slept long enough for it to be afternoon so soon. My sister made lunch which was some fish soup, or sinigang. I liked it, but I couldn't finish a lot of it since it wasn't my thing. For the rest of the afternoon, I mostly just caught up on my mood calendar entries until I was fully caught up with this week's entries. Once I was done, I finally decided that this would be the day I finally got that massage I've been planning. So I decided to get ready and told my sister, who was in the middle of disassembling our old table and assembling the new one. She wanted to tag along so I agreed and we both got ready. We charged up our stuff and then separately booked a ride to BGC so we could get our massage.

We eventually got to the massage place and we made the critical mistake of not booking for an appointment beforehand, so the only one available was this 60-minute aromatherapy massage, which we just took because we just walked in. We drank a few iced teas that they had and we got our massages started. I asked the masseuse to harden their massage pressure because my body felt really sore and light massages don't work with me. But I was wrong since the masseuse was really strong and they really went ham on my back and back muscles. It was painful, but I endured it as I usually would. I had a runny nose the whole time and I couldn't blow my nose, which kind of made it uncomfortable, on top of the masseuse absolutely turning my back into clay. After all was said and done, I felt nice even though I was a bit sore. I was also surprised that the masseuse's didn't ask for a tip from either of us, which was just weird since I was so used to massage places asking for tips.

After we paid for our massage, we took quite a long walk to Coco Ichibanya because I wanted to try some Japanese curry again. She didn't know it, but I just showed her the way and we just talked about life stuff until we got there. We got seated quickly since there weren't that many people in there and I showed my sister some menu items. We both went for the pork cutlet omurice with curry, and we had other stuff on the side like drinks, ice cream, and a salad. We mostly talked about stuff that went on in the house a couple of days and what my cousin has been up to, and how it's been really troubling. It was fun to hear about it, for what it's worth, and we eventually finish up our meals. We take a bit of a walk around Burgos Circle more to burn off some of the food we had and then we circled back to the Starbucks on the opposite side of Coco Ichibanya. I got us white chocolate and we were able to find a ride home after that.
