Last Day in the Office for 2025!
Today would be my last day in the office for the rest of the year. I'm just really glad I worked on-site for 5 days straight last year. All that's left now is to attend the other team's lunch event.
I woke up and I immediately tried to book a ride to the office. I wore my usual Friday outfit even though it was a Wednesday because I wanted to wear something loose and comfortable. It was really nice to just have the best possible outfit I have for today. I tried to book a ride immediately to the office but as usual, it took me quite a long time. It was already getting late, too, and I was just left at the mercy of these apps. I was using 3 phones at this point: my sister's Galaxy, my Google Pixel, and my iPhone, all running around 8 ride-hailing apps and with different accounts. It really sucks that it was this late into the morning and I'm still having trouble finding a ride. Eventually, I found one and immediately went to them and forgot my phone charger as I left for work.
I got to work and immediately left behind my things and got my computer basically set up. I walked as fast as I can to them since they were already eating. I got there really late and they were already finished with their food, but it was fine since they just let me get something for take-out. After that, I was able to join them for a quick game of Avalon and I was surprised that everyone knew the rules from the get-go. I was on the bad team for the first round and I didn't get to 'fail' the missions that much since I wasn't picked much. But I still tried to play and we eventually won the first round. We played another round and I was on the bad/red team again, with us being the same 3 players. It was seriously crazy but I'm glad I was able to win 2 games of Avalon in a row, which was pretty cool. We went back to the office after that but I had to run back because of my meeting.
When I came back, though, the meeting didn't even start and I did all that running for nothing. I could've gotten coffee with them, but instead I didn't, which kind of sucked since this would be my last day in the office and I wanted to spend time with the officemates. After that, nothing eventful happened that much. I did accompany a coworker to Glorietta and to other stores to help him find a Funko Pop thing that we was looking for. He pronounced Funko so weirdly and I had to correct him, and I found it funny that the store clerks didn't understand him much either when he tried his pronunciation. But we didn't find was he was looking for, although I did enjoy the walk because it helped me get a lot of steps. I also brought the official Bing Bong with me and took a few pictures.
At this point, I was also worried that my Apple Watch wouldn't make it to the end of the day. It was already super drained as it was. Adding insult to injury, I tried to charge it earlier but it wasn't actually charging because it wasn't plugged into the outlet. So now it was really around 20% charge and I didn't know anyone who had an Apple Watch charger. I just tried to turn off the screen while still walking around. Eventually, my coworkers left one by one and I was left alone. At the end of my shift, I had dinner by myself to celebrate my time in the office and my office life for this year in general. It was pretty great and work really has been a blessing. I didn't know where to eat, so I just kept walking around and settled on eating at Chili's. I had fun sitting with my barside seat and the server was really attentive, so that's nice. I also bought an additional gift for someone. The bill wasn't that expensive and, after that, I booked a ride home. Thankfully, I managed to find a ride and the ride home was pretty smooth, except for near the end because I wanted to get to the bathroom so badly.
After I got home, I cleaned up and got ready for the night. Since I'll be working from home, I got into a call with someone and it extended to the next day.
