Vietnamese Food!
For Wednesday, I felt okay and ready enough to go back to the office. I booked a ride there and it was a pretty straightforward ride. I had lunch out with my coworkers and focused on work. I had some time in the afternoon to watch someone play Red Dead Redemption 2 and they streamed it for a bit during my breaktime.
In the evening, I was bored and I asked my coworker if he was down to have dinner outside. He recommended that we try this Vietnamese food place near Poblacion, Makati. We walked all the way from the office to that place and it was a hell of a walk, but I was able to handle it. It's just that my feet were killing me because my shoes were in bad shape. We eventually did arrive in Hanoi Pho and I got to try out their Bun Cha that they recommended. We also tried their Vietnamese spring rolls and the Bun Cha soup I got was extremely spicy. I think the waiter mixed ours up and my coworker eventually told me that he was supposed to get the spicy soup, and not me. So that made sense. It was still nice to try out some Vietnamese food.
I decided on whether or not I should walk with him to the place he'll stay at or if we'll go our separate ways. I didn't want to spend time alone in the restaurant and I was down for a long walk, so I decided to push through it, even though I was carrying my work laptop and bag. It was a tiring and long walk, and I even reached 170+ bpm on my heart rate! It was extremely exhausting and painful because my shoes were killing me. I made the decision to give up on these work shoes after tonight. We eventually arrived at a place somewhere along EDSA and he just accompanied me until I booked a ride home.
My coworker actually didn't believe me when I said that I'm comfortable with walking very, very long distances, but after I showed him my Strava and some of the walks I've been on, he believed me. I'm glad I got to get some good exercise today and walked 4 kilometers in total for my outdoor walks. All in all, today was pretty great.
