Advanced Summer Outing!

Today would be the day that we'd have a summer outing! It was super strange that our summer outing was in February, but whatever, it was fine. I mostly accompanied someone for some part of the day through text and we messaged back and forth on Discord for a while since I was preparing my bag.

But after that, I prepared my things and eventually commuted to the office where I'd be picked up. Since I had nothing to do, I went to One Ayala mall nearby got this waffle cone from The Matcha Tokyo. I actually got there super early and they haven't opened up, so I talked to Mon for a bit. I got to learn that Mon did like K-Pop at one point and was primarily interested in NewJeans, so that was cool to know. I was bored and waiting for my other coworker to come and pick us up so I just prepared a playlist of songs that Mon recommended. We eventually were picked up by our coworker and we were on the way to the resort.

While we were on the way to the resort, I talked to Mon via chat and she tells me a few things like some more music recommendations and our music tastes. It was fun to talk to her and I was surprised that she even knew this artist, and that's where I knew that we were really on the same wavelength. I got to know more about her and she shared some of her pets while we were traveling down the SLEX. It was funny to just have Mon to talk to and I also listened to a few songs while on the way there. We also stopped by a Chowking and ordered food for a while before we continued to hit the road. I passed in and out while we were on the way there and I played that playlist I had of 2000s dude songs. After a while, we eventually got to the resort just fine.

I eventually met up with some of my coworkers and I got assigned to a room with 2 others. I got to know some coworkers and I cleaned up. I put on my usual cologne and I got complimented by another guy because they wondered what that nice smell was, and that the scent made them remember high school. It was flattering since I don't get compliments often. Our games for the afternoon started and I was still talking to Mon while this was all going on. I had come to learn that she was looking to replace her phone and she told me she was interested in getting a Samsung or Xiaomi, or even a ROG phone. Then she told me that she was specifically interested in getting a Google Pixel 9. My jaw absolutely dropped because that's the phone I have! I have that exact phone that was just sitting in my drawer. I immediately offered to just give it to her for free since she needed a new phone anyway and I just had that phone sitting in my drawer, rarely being used. I'm glad she agreed to meet up tomorrow so I could give her that phone, so I looked forward to meeting her the following day. After that, she left for a while to do other things and I focused on the games and the atmosphere.

It was nice to have another peaceful company outing, honestly. After the terrible past outings I've had, I'm surprised that I just barely knew anyone here and I'm happy to make new acquaintances. I just chilled for some parts of the afternoon. I took a quick swim in the sea because I wanted to just chill, but I didn't stay long since the water was a bit dirty, and I even saw a filled diaper float around. After I backed away into the shore, I saw a black jellyfish just swimming around and I was glad I got back because I didn't want to get stung and miss tomorrow's meetup with Mon.

For the rest of the evening, I mostly just had fun. I talked to Mon and we exchanged numbers and some details, and I asked them how their haircut went. I then just chilled with my coworkers and even sang some songs. I had fun singing karaoke with my coworkers and some of them even joined me in singing some old OPM songs.

In the later parts of the evening, we had some dancers perform a fire dance for us and we just watched in awe. We then had dinner after that and I watched a coworker act crazily drunk. It was funny. I barely drank liquor the whole night and only indulged in the wine. I mostly indulged on the snacks and other pulutan available. Once my phone and hotspot's battery was dying, I went back to the room to just chill there for the rest of the evening and watch some movies that someone recommended to me.
