What A Day! WTF! My First Date!

30°C Sunny

Today was so crazy because it seems that I was so packed today. But it still started with Kai still being in my room and we kept playing Tekken 7 on my PC until the morning. We tried out so many new characters, and it was kind of the most fun I've had in a while. I didn't want to cheese too much, but I somehow kept losing a lot against Kai, which was fun. We kept playing and we even stayed up until 6 a.m., and that's where Kai decided to get some sleep. To be honest, it was pretty weird and new for me to have a friend sleep over in my room. I think this was the actual first time someone had stayed the night in my room, and I'm surprised that Kai and I are that close, because I didn't even have my other best friends stay the night at my house. But it was cool, and kind of funny since Kai wanted a blanket and I couldn't find it. All I could find was this massive Teletubbies onesie and Kai wore it without questions and it looked so funny on her, too.

After sleeping for a while, I was woken up to what felt like a pillow hitting my face. It turns out that Kai had hit me with a pillow, which was funny because she tried to deny it at first. She made me watch Sinners (2025) and I ordered food for us since we hadn't eaten yet. After that, Kai eventually had to leave since she had other plans for the rest of the day. After she left, it took a while for it to sink in because I actually had a friend come over and stay the night at my house, and we just played games, ate, and just chilled. Friendships like these are pretty rare in my life, so that was nice.

In the afternoon, I talked to Mon. Initially I thought that we'd go out today but somehow that fell through and I just ended up shipping her the make-up I got her from Korea to her house. After that, I moved on to the main thing I had going on today: which was my first-ever date.

Thankfully, I had already called Ikinari Steak in Alabang and made a reservation, so that's settled. All Anne had to do was show up. I booked a ride there and I was initially worried I'd be late, but I actually arrived on time, which was pretty neat. I eventually saw Anne and gave her some of the make-up that I had gotten her, and she seemed to appreciate the gesture, so that was cool. We ordered steak and they got a good one, while I think I over-ordered because I got so much steak. It was nice to eat, though, and I listened to Anne talk about her plans and upcoming travel to Thailand and such. After we ate and I paid the bill, we walked around. Initially, I decided on a McCafe nearby but we ended up at Molito and Anne recommended an ice cream place we could eat at named Karito. We ordered a few things and Anne recommended that I taste some flavors, and we made our orders. We sat on some chairs by a table nearby and Anne mostly talked about her life so far, like her upcoming derma work or how her and her friends have this credit card roulette thing. It was also nice to hear how tech-savvy she is, even down to knowing how her current phone's S Pen was different from the newer versions, which honestly surprised me because I thought nerds like me only knew that. But after all that was said and done, we had to call it a day. I ordered some juice at Coco and Anne went on her way.

I was still surprised at how the date went, because this wasn't different at all from the many times I've met women online and got to know them. Still, I consider this my first actual date because both of us agreed on it, and I didn't hear any of my past meetups/hangouts get called a date, so this actually was my first-ever date in my entire life. I can say that it went well, so that's a nice little bow to end the day on.
