Dinner with Badet and her husband again!

Today was a pretty good and chill day at work, honestly. I tried to get to the office as early as I can so I could get coffee with my coworkers, and so I did and actually got there relatively-early. The thing was, though, my coworkers already got coffee by the time I had arrived, which kind of shocked me. But it was fine and I just sat in my seat. Another pair of coworkers from the same team did want to get coffee, so I joined them in and we just went to get coffee. Thankfully, I didn't really spend much since I still had some leftover money. For the rest of the day, it was pretty routine, I had lunch out with them, but they saved up on money so we just got food at SM Makati today, and we also got Chagee on the way back. I was surprised when I got back to the office because I had 3 different drinks at this point: Chagee, Starbucks, and water from the office. It was a lot and I had a feeling it wasn't going to end well today.

For the rest of the day, nothing much happened aside from a usual workday and I just focused on tasks. By the time I had to leave and clock out, my sister tells me that I shouldn't come home because it was excruciatingly hot at home. I immediately believed her so I just stayed in the office for a while. I got merienda by myself, even helped out a few of the juniors with their scripts and minor tasks. After a while, they left and I was truly alone.

I just did some more work and then, as I was about to book a ride, Bernadette messages me and asks where I was and if I was free for dinner. I immediately agreed to meet up with her and then we agreed to have dinner at the Wildflour Cafe in Greenbelt because it was super close by. Badet was also bringing her husband along, so that was nice since I haven't seen both of them in literal years. It was nice to finally meet them again and Badet mostly just talks and recounts her experiences, her travels to other countries with her husband, and then about their former and upcoming plans to migrate out of the country. I share a bit of my trip to Korea and then I asked her about some former work stuff, which was fun to look back on.

After that, we decided to walk for a bit and I suggested that we walk back to my office so I could pick up my stuff. We first stopped by a coffee place because they wanted to get something. We make our orders and then talk about shows, media that we've watched and I asked them what they think about The Boys, which was funny because I didn't know they were also into that. We eventually finished our desserts and then proceeded to go back to where my office was. I just went to the office floor and then picked up my stuff, and there was this eerie thing in the office since it was already so late and there were barely any people there. I eventually went to meet Badet and Kiko downstairs. Badet took a photo of my bag because it looked cute and I showed her that I still carry around the thing that she had gifted me years ago. She books a Grab ride to their places and sets my house as a Point B in the route back.

We eventually ride the Grab ride and then Badet tells me her recent experience with her family and why she isn't in Bulacan anymore. After they got dropped off, the driver then talks and opens up about a similar story which I was surprised to hear because it had already been a long day and I'm kinda drained, but I was nice and polite to them regardless and I also heard a bit about their story. After I got home, I talked to a few friends, especially Mon and someone. I stayed up into the night for a long while as I had coffee and I wasn't feeling sleepy yet.
