Send Lithium-Ions to the Rain!
Saturday was just a boring, chill day at home. I mostly was just browsing social media when I saw an IG Reel of a fire in Parañaque and I let one of my friends know about it. I also noticed how close it was to someone's house. I have a lot of old Nokia devices, especially Windows Phones, and other Li-ion devices at home. I got really paranoid that they would suddenly blow up and cause a huge fire. So I gathered them all up come early evening and I would throw them away at the gadget recycling bin at SM Aura. It's fine, I needed an excuse to go out anyway.
I turned on one of my old Windows Phones and it's kinda sad to let go of my yellow Nokia Lumia 1020. My old self would've loved to have this phone way back in high school. This was one of my dream phones, and here I am throwing it away. I'm also throwing away Ailysh's old PS Vita that I couldn't fix no matter what, even replacing the board didn't fix the stick drift. It was the most heartbreaking to reset my Lumia 1020 because the Windows Phone Store doesn't exist anymore, but whatever, who cares. I just posted IG Stories of it and some devices I'll throw away, as well as an old photo of all my phones back then. They all got a lot of likes, which was nice to see, for a change.
I went to SM Aura and sadly dumped all of the electronics into the bin for e-waste recycling. I then decided on where to get dinner next. I thought about 8cuts, and I actually waited outside their restaurant for a good while before walking away. A server didn't acknowledge me or even welcome me in, so I just lost interest. I kept walking until I decided on having Chili's tonight. I really wanted a burger, though, so I was going to order the burger that I didn't eat fresh last time.
When I got to Chili's, I got a seat at the bar table and I ordered my fish and chips, as well as my burger. I had a lot of fries on my plate. I also ordered some alcoholic drink, but it wasn't that alcoholic at all. It had me worry because I have gout and it's going to fuck up my sleep later, but thankfully it wasn't that alcoholic. I eventually finished my food and ordered the rest for take-out. I was surprised that the bill was around 1,700 Pesos, even though I just ordered 2 "side" dishes and I was just alone. Regardless, I booked a ride home and the guy kept chatting to me about restaurants on the way home. This started because I set my pickup pin at Wolfgang's Steakhouse and he got the notion of a Jollibee nearby. I eventually arrived home and called it a productive-enough day.
