Peak Marathon!
Today was finally the day I was able to catch up with all of my past mood calendar entries for the past month. I honestly thought that things were going to go awry or that I'd fall off, but thankfully I was able to update everything AND post my recent adventures in Peak to my IG Story, which was nice. I had Rachel invite me to play it with her and a couple of my friends noticed it.
For everything else, today was just a typical day working from home. I also found a toymaker who I can commission and I sent them what Bing Bong looked like. Work was going by smoothly and I was able to finish all of the work I had today early. Once work had died down, someone invited me to have a Peak marathon with them and Luan was so eager to play as well that he dropped everything he had doing just to play Peak with us. I had finished up with work and joined them in as well.
We played for hours and the seed for today's mountain was absolutely brutal. The jungle/tropics section was the hardest part, with someone always falling/dying early in the run and losing Bing Bong. I had felt so much attachment to Bing Bong at this point that I made it into a duty to save and retrieve them when someone dies. I often fell to the bottom of the floor and had to climb up while Luan just kept walking through the jungle part.
This map was totally brutal. There was one part chance were Luan was able to reach the peak but someone and I died along the way, and of course he didn't bring Bing Bong along. In the subsequent runs, we kept trying and dying. We had reached Ascent 2 by then and we were really hopeless by the end of that run because our hunger bars were too big and it stopped us from climbing up. We all died after that and we stopped playing for the day.
I was still able to get into a call with someone and I'd stream some videos while she worked and did stuff in the background. I eventually told her about gifting her the plushies and she was so excited to get them. Since making 2 plushies from the same manufacturer was expensive, I just bit the bullet and bought the baby manta plushie from the official Sky shop instead. It was surprisingly cheaper and, of course, it was the real thing. Someone even joked that it was the official version and my commission piece can't do the cool things the official one can do. We continued calling until the next day.
