I started Friday by being on call with someone and we were just watching some K-Pop videos and she introduced me to a few songs from Laufey. I also showed her ILLIT’s First Take video, which she really liked so that was nice to see that she likes them. I also showed them a video from SMORZ that I liked recently. We kept talking for a while but we eventually had to go and disconnect from the call.

In the morning, I started work and I had to bring in the laundry because it suddenly rained. I commuted to the office after doing some work in the morning. I was lucky enough to book a ride to the office but it rained super heavily on the way there. We got stuck in traffic and in the rain at some parts and my shoes as well as my clothes were completely drenched. It was horrible. The rain even got through the raincoat, but I personally didn’t feel much stress from it, just general discomfort because I got rained on. I still got to work just fine but I focused on my tasks first.

In the afternoon, I mostly just focused on tasks and attended my performance review. I’m just glad that it was satisfactory and there are no major issues. I’m just glad to be doing well at this time because 2025 has been such a challenging year and it’s been literal years since I’ve been praised in a performance review and to have my strengths/good points highlighted. To treat myself for doing well, I got that 300g steak from a restaurant that I wanted to visit and it was really good, plus it was totally worth it. I mostly just talked and tried to console someone while eating.

For the rest of the day in the office, it was mostly just me working and then I had merienda out with my coworkers for a while. We just ate nearby and I got a sandwich. My coworkers also teased me about the newhire which I still found annoying but I played along for fun. My coworkers went home first and I stayed for a while more in the office just doing tasks and finishing up stuff for the week. I got groceries afterward and I ordered and paid for some food in the food court, but they took such a long time to serve my food and my ride was here. I didn’t claim the food and instead just went to my ride where they talked a lot about their life and how they lived near my house and all. It was such a long story but I kind of didn’t feel like talking because I’m just exhausted after 4 days of working in the office.

When I got home, I just cleaned up for a bit and placed the groceries in the storage room. I got into a call with someone and I accompanied them for their entire night shift since it was a Friday. The call felt long even though it was just the start so I knew I was in for a long night.
