I still stay on call with her for a while, and I eventually tell her a few things that I’ve been feeling. The conversation gets somewhat deep into topics about my personal hardships this year. I guess part of me feels a bit pierced because the stuff I help out for isn’t for my own “family” i.e. for my wife and kids, and I do tell someone that it’s kind of sad to just go home from work every day and to not come home to a loving wife and kids. Someone was supposed to interject and say that we watched a movie but yeah she agrees that it isn’t the same as having a wife and kids, which was just funny to me. We talk for a while more about other topics until she gets busy in a work call and asks if I want to go and leave the call, to which I do and I just get some rest.

For the morning, it was just a hectic commute to the office and I immediately got ready as soon as I wake up. I booked a ride to the office after taking so long to get a ride. We go through BGC into Makati and it was nice to pass by an IMC school service van, which kind of reminded me of my childhood and made me miss it a little. I eventually got to work fine then had lunch with my coworkers shortly after and they teased me that I should just not join them and that they should just chat each other for lunch and then leave one by one, but I just laughed at it.

We had lunch at Glorietta’s food court nearby and we saw that the new Burger Beast store has opened. But I just had food from Mesa Steak Sizzlers as usual. I also got an expensive coffee from Nitro Brew because the cashier lady said good afternoon to me and I couldn’t just ignore her so I bought a drink. I eventually got my food and so did my coworkers. We mostly talked about the recently-opened Burger Beast restaurant that opened here. After that we eventually head back to the office and I continue on with my work stuff. Once we got back, the rest of the afternoon continued. I was prank scared by a coworker who has finished their shift and another coworker also shocked me by touching my back, which made me scream quite loud because I was so focused on my screen and I didn’t expect anything touching me. My coworkers in front of me laugh.

For the evening, I just catch up on a few tasks and I got invited by coworker and another coworker to have some ramen. We eventually get there and have ramen. We eventually head in and I ordered a tantanmen for my dinner. We just talk about the skins and games one coworker has played and during our dinner, someone invites us to play Phasmophobia and Luan also messages that I’m still at work. I eventually tell someone that I’m going to commute home after dinner and our dinner was surprisingly quick.

I booked a ride home and thankfully the driver went through BGC. I got home relatively quick and I immediately headed to my PC to play Phasmophobia with someone and Luan. We had a few fun rounds of Phasmo, but I often kept dying. There was that first round where someone’s audio device wasn’t working and she thought that we were ignoring her. She pulled all of the cards in the tarot card deck and that led me to being killed, but it was kind of fine even though we got a few ghosts wrong. Eventually Luan has to head out and someone couldn’t call because their brother was in the room so I just did stuff on my own and update my journal until the next day started.
