For Wednesday, my workday wasn't that much special, I had lunch out with my coworkers and we just had lunch nearby. In the afternoon, a coworker accompanied me to get this gift because I was planning to be a participant in the “exchange gift”/white elephant celebration later. I initially tried to buy a hand fan, but the clerk was missing and the other stuff at the hand fan place only had the expensive ones, so I passed out on those and settled on cheap wireless earbuds. After that, I just went back to work to continue my usual daily round of tasks.

In the evening, we had this small Christmas/year-end celebration for our department. It was a pretty small gathering with a few people involved, most of whom I just pass by without second thought. But it was nice to play a few games with them. Our main game was this “guess the murderer” type of game where people randomly got packs of cards. And somehow, I GOT THE MURDERER CARD and I couldn't believe it. I was the murderer and it was so funny and also raised my heartbeat a lot throughout the entire night. I was trying not to act suspicious and luckily our team one 5 new packs of cards, one of which I just took and used as my decoy, and I basically hid my main pack of cards for the entirety of the night.

Keeping a lot profile isn't really my thing especially when I'm involved in some tomfoolery but I think I was able to keep it down okay. Luckily, no one to my knowledge was able to guess that I was the murderer and I got an electric kettle as an exchange gift present. All in all, I had fun and I was able to reveal to my coworkers that I got the murderer card before I left the building. At first, they didn't believe it, but I showed them the white card that said I was the murderer and they were impressed. I left the office after that and I booked a ride home after a bit of difficulty.

At home, I got to playing a few rounds of R.E.P.O. with someone and Luan. We had some difficulty, especially with a piano that someone mostly struggled with, but we were able to get it extracted just fine. After our game session, I didn't do much aside from checking my Spotify Wrapped and talking to someone for a bit. They just gave out boring-ass lines so I didn't reply much to them and that's the time I had the idea to get a booking and book for a hotel this late at night. I just pushed on with it since it didn't seem to cost much, to be honest.
