Thursday, December 4, has got to be the craziest start to a morning yet.

In the morning, I still could not believe that I was at a hotel room somewhere in Makati. This was definitely the strangest way I've started a morning, but I wanted to make the most out of it by having some good breakfast downstairs. I'm glad I picked the room with included breakfast and I had a good dish of beef tapa or something served, and I added in an additional omelette because I wanted to make the most out of my stay. After that, I got up and packed my bags, and then booked a ride directly to the office.

The ride to the office was the craziest part because I was just so close by and the ride wasn't even 100 Pesos or so, and I even quickly got a ride, too. I got to the office less stressed than I usually was, which was a super nice change of pace compared to my usual routine. I also brought my Google Pixel 9 with me so I was able to show that to my coworkers and even tried to add some cards to Google Wallet. In the afternoon, we tried that new brioche bun at llaollao, which was pretty good. I just had fun in the office like usual and I pretty much went home after wrapping up with some tasks.

In the evening, I had enough time to play R.E.P.O. with someone and Luan. We played a few stages of R.E.P.O. until we moved on to Peak, which was our main highlight of the evening. I had a run start on the base difficulty and we had the roots and alpine biomes in rotation today.

The shore was surprisingly difficult for me because it had been a while since we last played, and the new roots biome was no easy task for us either. Luan died here and it was up to someone and I to cross. I remember that I gave her a chain launcher that they eventually used as a crucial tool later in the run. I also died in the roots biome, leaving someone to climb alone for the bulk of it. I also ate a berry that I should have given her, but that's beside the point. They were able to make it and Luan and I got resurrected afterward. For the alpine biome, Luan and I also died quickly at the start, leaving someone to figure out the path alone, and I tried to heavily guide them this time. I showed them paths they can climb up to and they even had a misstep that caused them to fall down a bit. But thankfully they persevered and still finished the biome fine, which was a super big relief.

For the caldera, we were complete again but somehow Luan died around halfway because he just jumped and fell into lava. My hunger, damage, and heat were taking big chunks out of my stamina bar but I was able to make it, with someone definitely passing through the biome easily. It was our last stage after that: the kiln. Luan wasn't aware that the lava starts rising now and he fell after a failed chain launcher use. I also fell in that same chain launcher path because I didn't have enough stamina, but I'm glad I didn't have much items with me anyway. It was up to someone and I tried to guide them as best as I can. It was so nerve-wracking seeing them and guide them because this part of Peak is the scariest part. One mistake or slip-up could mean the end of a hard-worked run. But I'm glad someone was able to climb so well that she eventually got to the peak and won. It was a big sigh of relief and my extremities felt so cold after that game. It was definitely one hell of a run but I'm glad that at least someone was able to go through it just fine.

We stopped playing after that.
