The Lotte World Turnaround!

28.4°C Sunny

Today started with me arriving home late from my trip yesterday. I had plans to go to Lotte World today, but I just couldn't sleep. It was like something was bothering me.

In the morning, my mood was still shot from my early morning “adventure” and I woke up late, too. I decided to just take a car ride to Lotte World because I would arrive there very late in the day if I took public transportation. I got off at the wrong place and even wandered around a good bit before reaching the tickets at Lotte World Adventure. But eventually I was able to claim my ticket and go inside!

And there I was, at Lotte World in Seoul. I actually got to the Lotte World ice skating rink where Girls' Generation performed Oh! in the 2010s. That live performance also shaped me going here, to be honest. I tried to ride some ride in the adventure area, but the lady said something about my clothes, so I didn't push through. I decided to try the Flume Ride instead. I was kind of surprised because there were a lot of people here and the line took a while, even though it was on a regular Monday morning. I also noticed some of the cast members look pretty and do this dance while they greeted passengers who had just finished the ride, which was pretty cute. I got into a log ride with a couple sitting in front of me, but it was fine. I got wet on the ride! But it was so fun!

Honestly, just realizing that I'm at a theme park instantly turned my mood. I needed a mood shift after yesterday, so I'm glad I got to go to Lotte World. I also looked around and saw so many couples in uniforms, which was cute. I tried their viking ride, which was The Conquistador, and then I walked to the outdoor area, which was Magic Island. I took some photos of the outside and just kept walking around.

I got in line for Gyro Drop and it was surprising how fast they came down, because they blew my hat away! I was able to ride it quick because the line was short and it was fun and also scary at the same time. After that, I got some food and I got a basic hotdog, some potato chips, and chicken nugget balls which cost me around 1,000 Pesos, which was super expensive, if I'm being honest. I tried the Gyro Swing next, which was also scary, but super short.

After that, I walked back to the indoor area to take a few more photos. I then got in line for the French Revolution ride and it made me wait quite a while, too. And there were some people who came in front of me who were clearly in groups, even though the line was meant for solo riders. Still, I got in the ride and, while it was short, it was super fun and scary. Too bad I'll only get to experience it once due to how long the line was. I took a few more photos after that, ate some dinner there, and I wanted to try the hot air balloon ride, Aeronauts Balloon Ride, but it was closed by the time I got there. I just walked around for a bit, and I wanted to take a video of the French Revolution ride as it went in the loop, but 2 girls were dancing Twice's What is Love on the bridge, so I couldn't go there. I also didn't try out Atlantis because it was closed this day for inspection. I just walked around a bit and turned on my Strava workout.

I didn't really have anything else to do at that point, and I didn't want to spend any more money, so I literally just went home. I know I still purchased a ticket that came with access to the Lotte Aquarium, but it was already getting late at this time as it was already around 7:40 p.m. and I had to take public transportation. So I just went down to the subway that led back to Seoul. I passed by Bongcheon and I thought about getting off at this stop in search of the Bongcheon-dong ghost, but I didn't really push through it because I was tired. Plus, I wanted to recoup some strength for tomorrow's Everland trip, so I just went back to my hotel and chilled. All in all, Lotte World was fun and I'm glad that I got this trip because it was the turnaround that I needed to lift my mood.
