A Trip to Everland!

27.7°C Sunny

Day 5 in Seoul meant that today would be my trip to Everland! I had just bought tickets for today and I woke up a bit early, too, at 8 a.m. I got into a Discord call with someone and I turned on my video to show them what I was up to as I was getting ready to leave. I packed all my essentials and checked my bus route, then I rode the bus.

I actually got off the wrong bus station and told someone this. All in all, they were making jokes and comments as I was commuting, but I didn't try to talk much/at all while on the public transportation. They eventually slept as I just got on the train to Seoul and I commuted on my own after that.

So I got off the train and then walked to the bus stop that took me to Everland. I actually missed the bus because I was on a bench at a bus stop outside of the road, when the bus I meant to catch was in the bus stop in the middle of the road. So I just chilled at a nearby Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, and I got some muffin and coffee. I went back to the bus stop as my bus' time of arrival was nearing, so I cleaned up my tray and went back to the bus stop. I got on the correct bus, which was a different one compared to the ones I was used to, but I got a comfortable window seat. I actually took some photos and then slept for a good bit, but I awoke just in time as the bus was arriving at Everland. After that, I left the bus and saw a sign that pointed to Everland AND Caribbean Bay. Wait, what? Caribbean Bay? From the CABI Song that Girls' Generation and 2PM sang? THAT Caribbean Bay? I was legitimately surprised because I visited another Girls' Generation landmark and I immediately sent this to someone. After asking around, I was able to enter Everland and I was surprised at how small it initially seemed.

I walked around trying to look for T-Express, but I somehow couldn't find it. It was confusing because it was such a big rollercoaster, but I couldn't find it. So I just stored my stuff at a nearby locker. I rode Thunder Falls as my first ride and it was so scary! It was also exhilarating and I got so wet from the drop because I sat in the back seat. The couple in front of me saw how disheveled I looked, but I didn't care and I just laughed. It was genuinely so fun! I went and decided to try to find T-Express, and that's when the scale of this place really hit me. This place was HUGE. I've only had Enchanted Kingdom as my biggest theme park, but it was nothing in comparison to Everland. I kept walking and walking, and eventually found T-Express! I tried to see where the line started and I just waited in line. Thankfully, it wasn't that long, but it was surprising how there was still a long line despite it being a random Tuesday. It was then my turn to ride T-Express and I didn't want to sacrifice anything so I put in my wallet and phone at the locker nearby. Then the ride started.

T-Express is, by far, the scariest ride I've ever been on. I felt like I was going to be ejected from my seat and my head decapitated. I thought I would end up on one of those YouTube documentaries where someone died while on the ride. It was honestly the scariest ride I've ever been on, like it genuinely freaked me out the first time. But it was the most fun I've had ever on a ride, honestly.

I wanted to go again, but I wanted to eat first. So I just ate at the nearby Alpine Restaurant. I sat there and ate alone, and just thought about how crazy this all was. I was thousands of miles away from home, far away from anyone I can call myself close to. It was just so crazy how lonesome and how far I am. But it was cool, and I enjoyed my meal which was just some chicken and kimchi rice. I walked around a bit more and I tried the hotdogs being served, which tasted nice. I also found another group of Filipino tourists and I took photos of them, and they took photos of me in return. Afterwards, I rode their own take of a swinging ship ride, the Flying Rescue, and it was fun but it didn't last long, nor was it that scary, which was kind of a letdown. I walked and explored more of the park while I was talking to this girl I met on CMB. I sent her my itinerary but, funnily enough, it was cropped. But I showed her how I was completing most of the stuff on my itinerary and following it so much, which also shocked me.

After this, my phone's battery was getting low so I charged and walked around for a bit. I also talked to a few friends and browsed Reddit for a while. I rode 1 more ride after this, which was Double Rock Spin, which was one of the scariest rides I've ever been on because I genuinely felt like I was going to fall or something. Thankfully, I didn't, and I talked more to that girls I matched on CMB and we connected on Instagram. I decided to have some light snacks after this and also decided on going home since it was getting late. Before leaving, I stopped by a gift shop and decided to get my sister this cute Piplup bag that was reminiscent of the cute bags that the people in Lotte World had yesterday. I also found out the place that sold that Cinnamoroll thing and it was a popcorn stand, weirdly enough. I was confused how they would store popcorn it in, but it was cool how I got a cute Cinnamoroll keychain as well. I rode the bus and went back to my hotel. It surprised me how quick the trip took and I was back at my hotel room at around 8:30 p.m. or so.

I didn't do much else for the rest of the evening aside from talking to that girl from CMB and browsing IG Reels. I also ate out of that Cinnamoroll popcorn bucket, funny enough. I stayed up until the following day.
