Wed
Wednesday was finally the start of us having 3 days of on-site work. Today was finally the day. I don't know what to feel about this, but I sure do know that I felt tired. Because the day started with me and Jaze still outside as we were just talking at 7-Eleven. Jaze and I eventually left and I arrived home just fine to catch up on some journal entries because I didn't want to sleep with a full stomach. I eventually got my rest and started my morning.
For the morning, nothing much happened as my sister was out, so all I could do was just ready myself for work. I got there just fine although the rider I was with seemed a little hotheaded and had a case of road rage. This kind of made me just wish I could save up for my own car soon. Once I got to work, I was a little confused because we had new seating assignments, and I was a little disappointed that I was seated a bit far away from my usual coworkers. But it was fine, I just focused on work and cleaning up some tasks in the morning. I was glad I got invited out to still have lunch with my usual coworkers, even though they teased me as usual and said that I shouldn't come with them, and that I was the baby of the group. They even had a new coworker and I pinched them because they kept teasing me, but it was all fine and we kept laughing on the way to get our lunch.
My lunch was just my usual and I stood up while eating because I somehow didn't feel like sitting down. While on the way, I also told my coworkers that I had met someone new and that I sold them my Google Pixel 9 for 1K Pesos, which they kept teasing me throughout the day for. After lunch, 1 other coworker and I got coffee and I told him that I would pay him later. I got back to my desk and continued working on tasks until the afternoon.
My coworkers invited me for a quick merienda break and we got food at SM Makati. I just got Paotsin and then this “big” bola-bola siopao while there, and I kept asking where we'll go for dinner later because my coworkers and I planned to walk for a bit and have dinner together in the evening. We went to Chagee afterward since one coworker wanted to try this specific drink, and I was surprised because him and I would be trying the same drink. I only wanted to try the “Glutinous Green Milk Tea” one because Mon said that her friend recommended it. It was really nice! I took a photo of my drink and I wanted to tell Mon about it, but it's the afternoon and Mon hasn't messaged me all day, so I figured that she was just busy or something. I went back to the office to finish my usual round of tasks until I timed out for the evening.
For the evening, I was mostly waiting for my coworkers to finish up with their work. We had planned to visit Hà Nội Phố in Poblacion and one of our coworkers was kind enough to drive us there. I had time to kill so I joined Luan and someone's voice call and watched Luan continue through more of BioShock Infinite's story until I had to leave. We eventually drove there and even joked to play some songs on our coworker's car stereo. One coworker finally played fitterkarma's "Pag-ibig ay Kanibalismo II" and it was a pretty good, okay enough song. We eventually got to Hà Nội Phố after a while.
I wanted to try something different so I got their Phở while my other coworkers got the other beef dishes and Bún Chả. I added more chili and spices to my Phở and it got so spicy. I had, like, 3 or 4 refills of water by the time we finished our meal. I'm glad to hear that my coworkers liked their dish. One of our coworkers eventually revealed that they watched a movie with their ex and how that affected them, and I mostly just listened to their story. I also said that I get their stance because I've been in a similar spot romantically (minus having the ex part as I've been single my whole life).
We paid the bill and decided to walk to Mixue which would be deep into Poblacion, but we were all down for a walk. We just talked and made jokes, I even thought some dude was a statue until they moved, which was so funny and embarrassing. It felt comfortable to walk because I was wearing my rubber shoes and this oversized polo shirt which felt really comfy. After a while, we eventually got to Mixue, but we were surprised to find out that it was closed. We walked to Beselu Cafe instead to at least get some gelato. We just ordered, talked for a bit, and then we parted ways after that as one coworker and I still had to go back to the office and walk it back to there.
It was a long walk, and my leg had somehow cramped up during the walk back. It hurt but we eventually reached the office just fine. Thankfully, I was easily able to book a ride home and then got back home safe. The whole ride home I was wishing for God to give me a sign that everything's going to turn out fine. I wished for a flashy, obvious sign and I guess I did see it in the form of an airplane flashing its lights far out and some light sources being a little bright. My day was fun but it was kind of lonely at the end because I didn't get that much time to talk with Mon.
