An iPhone Air So Soon?
Tuesday was definitely one of the weirdest Tuesdays I've ever had. I slept early last night, mostly because I was really tired, and I woke up really early, which is a first. I talked to my sister for a while to check out her phone and then she made breakfast for us. I just spent some parts of my morning at home and I just chilled for a good while until I decided it was time to leave. I was surprised to arrive in the office so early, and I got there just in time as my coworkers were just arriving. I did my usual round of morning stuff and then we got coffee that was just a long walk full of joking around and stuff. I got some new drink named Madagascar, or something, and we decided to have lunch since we were already nearby. We had lunch since it was cheap and pretty filling there. One of our coworkers wanted chicken and we saw that they had a bucket full of them, so we ordered those and split the bill amongst the 3 of us. The chicken flavors were nice, I think we like garlic parmesan the most. The others had separate dishes while we were eating. By the time we were back, we were really full so I was pretty glad we got to walk around for a bit.
For the afternoon, it was pretty boring as I just focused on clearing a lot of stuff for work and focusing on things. I also helped out my teammates, especially the ones I were with earlier. But the afternoon passed and we just had merienda at the end of it. I wanted to buy more food, since I didn't plan on having dinner, but one of my coworkers said that they'll be having dinner, so I decided to tag along with them.
We decided to have dinner at Taiwan Chicken and we walked there. We took the route that I knew, which didn't go through any places that had air conditioning, and I decided to walk upstairs rather than take the escalators, which my coworkers made fun of me for because I was already sweating bullets lol. I kept reiterating to them that I didn't sweat as much as I did when I was in Korea, and they just shot that down, which was funny. We eventually got to Taiwan Chicken and we ordered very similar meals, even though we didn't discuss about it with each other. We both got the sea salt milk tea and Taiwan pork xiao long bao, we even got a rice meal. The only thing different with my dish was that I got the chicken rice meal, and I ordered an extra Taiwan sausage. I didn't know that was a thing, either. We just listened to one of our coworkers talk about this Mobile Legends-based board game that the had made using AI and we tried to finish our food very slowly because we were already full, and we ordered A LOT of food. We finished what we could and we began our walk back to the office.
Our day is actually about to end, we just passed by a lot of stalls, joked amongst each other (they mostly joked about me), and it was a pretty nice way to just chill. Then one of my coworkers teases me, all to just lead me into buying a new iPhone. I was initially hesitant, but after thinking about it, I was convinced and got a new iPhone Air with the help of my other coworker. I was surprised I agreed so easily, but I justified the purchase later on. I bought a new screen protector and case for it, which was nice, but getting this was so unexpected, it even shocked me. I tried to set it up for a bit in the office until I got a ride back home, and I eventually just decided to get a car ride home as it was pretty late and I was kinda tired.
I told someone and my sister that I got a new iPhone Air and someone congratulated me and it was cool to tell them how I got the phone. We talked about other things after that and mostly focused on them staying in Davao, until they stopped responding and I was mostly focused on setting up my new iPhone. I continued setting it up until the following day and then I eventually slept.
At the end of the day, I was having confused feelings because some parts of my life weren't working out well (things with my date had completely fallen apart), but I had some things going well like the year as a whole. I just decided to look at the good things regardless.
