Afternoon visit to Festival Mall

28.8°C Rainy

Saturday started with me and Jaze finally arriving in Taguig after our very long trip from Cavite. The ride back form Cavite was actually the easy part as there was little to no traffic. We decided to go to Assi Fresh Plaza and we got drinks at 7-Eleven first. We orderd our usual Mountain Dew Gulp drinks and then went to Assi Fresh Plaza to check out the place, and also since it had air conditioning. The aircon there wasn't actually cold today, and we really needed a place to just chill out and stuff. We decided to go to the 2nd floor at 7-Eleven, but when we got there, it was closed. So we just decided to drink our drinks outside like usual.

I came up with the idea that I should charge my stuff and so I asked if we could go to the Starbucks down the street. Jaze agreed and we brought our stuff from there. When we got there, though, it was closed and then I asked if we could go to the one on 32nd Street instead, since I knew that would be open at this time, and so we went there. When we got there, they thankfully had motorcycle parking, but it was totally full inside. Jaze couldn't find a seat for the 2nd floor, and we decided to hang out at the community table instead. And then I still tried to find a seat at the 2nd floor, thankfully one opened up as I got there and we were able to get seated. One was near an outlet, too, so I used that opportunity to charge my stuff. We stayed for a bit for my items to charge, and funny enough I actually had the slow cable hooked up to the power bank the whole time. It's just a funny blunder and I was able to correct it enough for me to be able to charge a bit faster by the end. We then decided to end the day there and Jaze dropped me off after I got Jaze some gas.

For the day, I only had my hangout with Naomi and Jane planned out. I didn't do much from the time between that so I just went to Festival Mall after spending some time in the house.

I eventually got to Festival Mall and I eventually met Naomi and her girlfriend Jane. We walked around for a while, then I suggested that we go to Starbucks so I could get a drink. I treated them both to some Starbucks and I listened to them talk about the things they've been up to lately and it was nice to also share some stories of my trip to Korea. After that, I had the idea that we should do some end-of-year thing like book a hotel room and go clubbing in Poblacion since I'm familiar with the area, or go to EK. I let Naomi think about it and then we walked around for a bit. Naomi showed the Samgyupsalamat restaurant and we even went to this wide open area with a fake river or something, which surprisingly had some fish. I was surprised because the water didn't look clear enough to have fish, so that caught me off guard. I saw a weird fish in the water and I was thinking whether or not it's dead, and Jane also started at it for a bit before we realized that it's actually dead. It kinda spooked me but it was just interesting to see some fish here. We walked around a bit more and it was getting really hot because I wore the “cold outfit” I had back in Korea. I had a jacket on, and it sucked because I wasn't able to wear the intended shirt for this because it had some bird shit in it.

We walked for a bit more, then decided to try the rollercoaster since the line wasn't that long. I was able to bring my iPhone Air with me along the ride because I had a strap for it, and it was a fun, but short ride. I'm glad it went for 2 loops because the track wasn't that long. I didn't expect much, but it was thrilling as far as small rollercoasters went. It made me miss my T Express ride back in Everland Korea, though. We walked for a bit more after that, then we decided where to eat and then Jane grabbed some take-out from a restaurant that her sister used to work at. We initially decided on samgyeopsal but Naomi said that it was out of budget, so we settled on Burger King, then we changed out idea after finally settling on that Thai restaurant that Jane got food from. I mostly just listened to Naomi talk about her and Jane's experience, and other things that they've been up to. We walked for a bit more, but we didn't really do much else aside from walk to the pickup/drop-off point in the east wing of the mall. Naomi and Jane booked a ride for themselves, and that's where I started getting a ton of hiccups, for no reason. I think it's because the Thai food was too spicy and that I didn't get that much water earlier. Naomi and Jane had a bit of confusion regarding the pickup point, and so did I because I had several drivers cancel on me before having one that did. By this time, we had all gotten rides home and then that's where we parted ways for the night.

For the late evening, nothing much happened as I got home. It did rain, which was nice, but I mostly just enjoyed my time by scrolling on IG Reels and talking to a few friends. Nathan gave me some Miku candy thing because he went to this event, and it was pretty nice of him to do so. I asked him to hang out next week Saturday and he agreed, but not now because it was raining like hell. I made my sister try one out but she wasn't a fan of it because she dislikes the flavor. I stayed up and kept on browsing until the next day rolled in.
